I worry for our future

Where love is forgotten

And hate rules our hearts

Where peace is left behind

To make room for war

Where selflessness is surpassed

By selfish acts

Where hunger is prominent

But only by the poor

Where pride is ignored

By those who scream louder

Where open minds disappear

Because closed minds build walls

Where authenticity is foreshadowed

By those who always lie

Where earth is destroyed

By greed and money

Where humanity is broken

Because others want their way

Where animals disappear

When humans take over

Where our hearts are no longer pure

Because of the poison of others
